Hip to Gable Rear Dormer Loft Conversion

A hip-to-gable rear dormer loft conversion has started on a semi-detached property in Hall Green, Birmingham to create a master bedroom and en suite bathroom. The side hip will be raised to form a new gable enabling the new staircase to rise above the existing staircase. A new uPVC window will be added to the new gable to give the stairwell natural light. The rear dormer will be completed with a further two uPVC windows, one for the bedroom and one for the en suite. Further natural light will be obtained for the bedroom with a Velux window being fitted into the front slope. A storage floor will be added under the remaining roof slope so no space has been wasted.
